Tekno Team Driver Spotlight: John Bernard
TH: How old are you and where are you from?
JB: I just turned 40 this past July. (Woo hoo 40+) I was born in Buffalo, NY, grew up in Orchard Park, NY, and I have lived in Jacksonville, FL for the last 17 years.
TH: Favorite Class at the races?
JB: At big events, E-Truggy is my favorite to run. Local, it’s E-Buggy. 4wd SCT will always have a special place in my heart though.
TH: Best moment with the Tekno Team?
JB: The best moment would have to be my fellow Tekno team members peer pressuring me into entering the concourse at the 2019 ROAR Enats and winning 1st place with my SCT410.
TH: What are your racing goals for 2020?
JB: My goals for 2020 would be to add more 10th scale to my racing, I may have only raced my EB410 twice this year, and to finally fly to a race.
TH: Favorite Tekno Upgrade Part?
JB: My favorite upgrade part is the new lightweight wing. Holds up great and looks better than using a swish cheesed stock wing.
TH: Event you look forward to the most in the next year?
JB: Wicked Weekend is the race my family and I look forward to every year. Not too far, it’s ran really well, an excellent layout, and a great atmosphere.
TH: Anyone you would like to thank?
JB: Everyone at Tekno RC for making racing fun again, my sponsors that help keep me on the track Pro-Llne Racing, BK Servo, Gens Ace, and Boca Bearings, my wife and kids for supporting me, and my racing friends for the laughs.
