Tekno RC Team Report Week 6 2016

One more successful weekend for Tekno RC! Team driver RJ Hart wins both 4x4 Short Course and E-buggy classes at the 2016 Super Bowl race while Rich Hollis and Seth VanDalen won the Nitro truggy class at their respective races. Congratulations to all drivers! Race report from each race below.

2016 RC Super Bowl Race, report by RJ Hart:

Practice went well, as my Tekno cars felt great from the get go. With a couple minor tweaks i was ready for the 4 rounds of qualifying. In pro4, I was able to win 2 of the 4 rounds, but lost the tie breaker for TQ. In the main I had a great race, going back and forth between 1st and 2nd, and squeeking out a win at the end. In E-buggy, I was able to TQ all 4 rounds, and cruise my EB48.3 to victory. This was a one day event, put together by Mike & Nicki Sontag. The layout was a lot of fun and a really fast one! Thanks to Tekno R/C, Nankin Hobby, Darkside Design, & Sumo R/C for all the support!

Midwest RC Tour, report by Seth VanDalen:

I showed up Saturday morning at 7:30am after a ten and a half hour drive. Set out to learn the track as my mechanic watched the car looking for ways we could make it better. E-buggy was good and nitro truggy was super dialed and nitro buggy was good, our first weekend on the Buku clutch. We changed a few clutch settings and continued to break in tires. I relied on my team mates Jason Bloom suggestions to lighten up my diff oils in NB48.3 and the car went into and out of the corner much faster. Qualifing went well in truggy taking the TQ spot and nitro buggy starting 3rd behind  and Collin Weatherholt. E-buggy was a disaster fighting electrical problems. I ended up winning truggy and finishing 7th in buggy after 2 flame outs. E-buggy I was out with electrical issues. Thanks to the JCP crew for the fun track and Ryan Klemme for organizing the Midwest RC Tour. Thanks to all my sponsors Tekno, VP Powermaster, Proline, OS Engines, Futaba, Team Orion, King Kong Hobbies, www.ftrcr.com and Newstyle Customs
