SOR Championship (PR), report by Jerome Marrero:

"This past weekend I raced at the 5 round SOR Championship in Patillas RC Track! During practice my truck felt good! In the first qualifier, I made a few errors but still made the best time! In the second qualifier I tuned my motor and made the best time of the day. In main I started first but made an error and lost the first position 2 laps into the race. Perfect pit stops and consistency helped me rise to the front for the win. Thanks to Tekno RC"

Season Ending Cash Race (US), report by Brian Bush:

"Jerry's is a well maintained always fun and challenging track out on the edge of Ithaca, NY. This year's race was a little light on numbers, but some wicked fast guys from the Rochester and mid-state area would gather for one last outdoor race. My Tekno EB48.4 and ET48.3 were on point all day. Round one I would just barely grab the E-Buggy TQ and would finish out 2nd in E-Truggy. Round two I would throw down slightly faster races holding onto TQ for E-Buggy and just barely edging out Ben for the E-Truggy TQ (3 tenths I think it was). I would have some outstanding battles with Ben, Nelson (Mugen guys from the west) & Jeremy.. but in the end I would grab the Wins in both classes. Great time pitting with the travelers and nice to meet some of the local fast guys who call Jerry's 'home'. Time to clean up the 1/8 scales and get the EB410 ready for some action at the Jconcepts race at RCE right around the corner.

Overall results:

E-Buggy:

TQ/1st: Brian Bush - Tekno EB48.4

2018 Northern Championship (CA), report by Stephane Doucet:

"After a lot of rain during the night, the start of the day was looking to be very muddy but track crew did amazing work to repair the track. 1st qualifier was slower than usual for this track because the clay was sticking to the tires and inside the body, Q2 and Q3 were better, with the sun drying the track, but kept it damp and high traction.

4wd Short Course:
Qual Point format, I got a 6th position in Q1, TQ'd Q2 and only got 5th in Q3 after wire came unsoldered on my battery connector. Ended up qualifying 3rd overall. In the main, I was able to take the lead right from the start and keep it for a while, until I was caught up with slower cars and had to battle for a bit but was able to keep my 1st position until the end."

Overall results:

1st: Stephane Doucet - Tekno SCT410.3

2nd: Dario Paoletti

3rd: Shane Foote

Race To End Childhood Cancer (US), report by Frederick Perkins:

"Had an awesome day at T.A.P. Raceway yesterday for the first annual Race to end childhood cancer. This was my first time in 2 years running modified and also my first race with my new Reds Electronics. I was able to TQ 2wd buggy and quality 2nd in 4wd buggy to @Tekno_rc teammate @markkimley. I had the lead for most of the 2wd main but got caught up in lapped traffic. I did make a good comeback but could not catch the leader. Congratulations to winner @brian.mills.79827 . In 4wd Mark got out to a 4 second lead. I was hanging in and catching him at about halfway. Unfortunately he stripped a spur gear. I managed to lead the rest of the way for the win. My @trickkid_duvo accompanied me on the trip and ran 2wd 17.5. He had some of the fastest laps all day. He qualified 2nd and finished second. I am so proud of how far he has come in such a short period of time this year! Thank you to all that make racing possible."

2018 NZRCA South Island Champs (NZ), report by Jayden Jamieson:

"Practice started out great and finished great, all cars felt great as soon as we put them on the track and didn't feel I needed anything else out of them, so all we did was try different tyres. Qualifying was smooth, got the TQ in each class with ease over everyone else I was racing against without having to push the car to the limit all the time. For the Truggy A-main I started off pole and finished where I started, the track was starting to get a lil' bumpy at this point in the weekend so I was thinking about my buggy shock package in the back of my mind, I won the truggy final and as I finished that I went and lightened the shock oil on the 2 buggies. Ep buggy I won A1 and A3 with great runs, not too many mistakes and the car was very good. Nitro buggy was even better than the E-Buggy, had a slightly different shock package to the E-Buggy and was just that bit better and more consistent than the E-Buggy, I won nitro buggy by an entire lap over the field and that gave me the Triple TQ and Triple Win that I was supposed to get last year, now I have done it.

Bring on the worlds in Perth!"

Chill On The Hill Race (CA), report by Lucas Lazzari:

"This was the 16th annual Chill On The Hill in Duluth Minnesota. We try and attend this race every year as it’s a great weekend of racing at a fantastic venue. Three rounds of qualifying on Saturday.. Lucas was TQ with his EB48.4 and 3rd overall in Short Coarse with his SCT410.3. Sunday's mains were fun to watch, the track was near perfect with the light rain we got overnight. Lucas’s laptimes were very consistent in short course and he took the lead with 2 mins to go! Win!!
In E-buggy the top 3 were fast and stayed together the whole 10 mins. By the end, Lucas was far enough ahead to get the victory lap."
