Tekno RC Team Report Week 26 2016
Wins in USA, Korea and Bolivia are featured in this week’s Team Report. Tekno RC Team drivers Keith Hadley, Dave Hemenway, Shaun Kirkman, Kevin Lee, BeomKyu Kim and Javier Rivera win the races they attended this past weekend, congrats everyone! Report from each race follows:
Great Snake Shootout - Round 3 of Northwest Championship Tour (US), report by Keith Hadley:
"This past weekend was the Annual Great Snake Shootout hosted by the R/C Car Club of Lewiston and also serves as Round 3 of the Northwest Championship Tour. 185 entries from all over the Pacific NW converged in Lewiston, ID to battle it out over 3 three days of racing. I raced Open Electric Buggy and Pro4 SC.
Open Ebuggy: My Tekno EB48.3 was dialed right from the start. I TQ'd Q1 and narrowly missed TQ in Q2 and was able to TQ Q3 for the overall TQ. In A1 I got out to an early lead and drove mistake free to take the win. A2 I had an epic battle with AE driver Mike Dana and was able to take the win for the overall!
Pro4 SC: As usual my Tekno SCT410.3 was dialed. In Q1 I drove mistake free to edge out Tekno teammate Jesse Munn for TQ. In Q2 Jesse and I had a great battle and I was able to TQ for the overall TQ! In A1 I got out to an early lead and managed the gap to second to take the win. A2 I had a few bad mistakes and Jesse won A2. A3 would settle it all. Jesse and I had a great battle and I narrowly took the win for the overall win! Thanks to Tekno RC for all the support!"

Grassroots Racing Series Finals (US), report by Shaun Kirkman:
"Today was the final round of the 2016 Grassroots racing series in sunny Beaumont Ca. There were about 120 entries in attendance,Tekno present was strong at this one.
I managed to TQ over Cody King, Steve Harris and many other very fast locals. The main was 20 minutes, at the start I bobbled and got hung up with Cody and I got the better end of it and managed to land on my wheels. Eric Mcneil took the lead for a couple minutes while Cody had to make up a lot of time from the start. I caught and passed Eric for the lead at about 5 minutes and never looked back. Eric had a mechanical issue which put him out of the race so it was me alone in the lead. Cody and Steve harris were battling for 2 and 3 while I didn't make any mistakes pretty much the whole race, I ended up taking the victory for the finals and take the overall series victory!"

Healbeing Dirt Championship (KR), report by Kevin Lee and Kim BeomKyu:
"First Healbeing Raceway event, in E-Buggy class Kevin Lee had a good battle with TLR driver Jeff Joo, but won easily since Jeff had some trouble with his car, 4 cars in the top 5 were Tekno EB48.3!
In the nitro buggy class Kim BeomKyu had a good fight with Dani Choi until he flamed out once, handing the win to Kim and finishing in first with a 8 second lead"

Hillside Bash 4 Cash (US), report by Dave Hemenway:
"I went down to Hillside Raceway in Deerfield, NH for the annual Hillside Bash 4 Cash that brings out many fast drivers with the prospect of cash payouts. I ran the usual Tekno RC electric trifecta of the ET48.3, EB48.3, and SCT410.3, finishing 1st, 4th, and 2nd respectively.
My ET48.3 is always amazing and this outting proved to be no different for it. I managed both TQ and the win as it soaked up all the bumps and gave me an easy and consistent drive to the finish line. Local kid Noah Shatzer came in 2nd after throwing down a very quick last lap with Rob Dixon finishing out the Tekno sweep of the truggy podium! I also want to commend ALL of the drivers that drove in the truggy class (even the lower mains), as there were a lot of comments between onlookers about how CLEAN AND RESPECTFUL the racing was. Which is especially impressive when the vehicles are this big, wide, and powerful!

La Paz Departamental Championship Season 1 (BO), report by Javier Rivera:
“The La Paz Departamental Championship consists of two seasons with 7 races each. I managed to get the overall win of the first season in both Pro4 SC and E-Buggy classes with my Tekno RC SCT410.3 and EB48.3 cars which performed flawlessly. Thanks to Tekno RC for making fast and reliable cars!"
