Yokomo YD-2 TC 2wd Touring Car

A new category named “YD – 2”, a rear – drive popular machine “Modernize” touring car, RWD touring car is born! With good light handling and responsive acceleration, the machine which can easily taste the real thrill of on – road car easily appears. The double wishbone suspension has high traction, and it is possible to travel with high stability. Around the steering wheel which was newly designed for on – road, it runs through the corner.

Equipped with a vehicle height adjustable oil shock and on-road dedicated spring, it gained high level cornering performance. The front suspension arm is of H arm type, and it is increasing the rigidity.

YD-2 TC designed aluminum steering center link, set to Ackermann ratio which is optimum for on-road driving. Steering response is also high as it is made of aluminum.

Narrow scrub steering hub carrier, neutral steering characteristics are finished. In addition, we adopt aluminum clamp type for the front and rear wheel hubs to increase the rotation precision of the tires and obtain the maximum grip power.

Battery is also compatible with standard straight pack battery, short size Li-po battery.

By installing a stand-up type 4 gear transmission, it is the optimum balance for rear wheel drive. Of course, there is no collapse of the left and right balance due to the counter torque in the lateral placement of the motor, and the rear traction is further enhanced by throttle on.

The rear suspension also has a double wishbone structure. The mounting position of the upper arm is also varied and it is possible to handle a wide setting.

It is an airtight gearbox and highly dust-proof, making it ideal for running such as parking lots with a lot of dust. Since gear differentials are adopted for the rear differential, it is also possible to change the running characteristics by changing the viscosity of the oil to be sealed.
