What’s your Sports Car of Choice? RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF
In the world of full size cars, when it come to lust vehicles there are a ton of options. Most will steer towards Ferrari, Aston Martin, Bugatti, Shelby, and so on. The truth is, sports cars are meant to be animated, vibrant, insane, and a total nightmare to drive around in a downtown district. The one flaw to most of these brands, they’re not exactly a practical daily driver. Yes, if you’ve got the coin to spring for such a high-end vehicle it’s safe to assume there’s a second car in the garage. The big question is why can’t a sports car be practical? The answer is, they really shouldn’t be because they’re meant to be that propulsion devise that separates you from reality.
For those that know me, when the question of sport cars arises there’s only one answer I have, Porsche. Why? Amongst its competition you will not find a more practical vehicle that allows you the luxury of having your cake and eating it too. When questions narrow down to what particular vintage of Porsche’s I agree with, the current generations of 998’s and 997’s are not among my choices. The older 70’s-80’s air-cooled Porsches with wide body kits, enormous whale tails, and rear tires wide enough to make drag racers envious is what makes me weak in the knees. A while back I came across a Porsche tuner out of Japan that’s created a cult like following for his wide bodied creations called RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (RWB), translates into “Rough World”. In order to get a better idea as to what RWB is all about check out these two videos and let me know what you think. They’ve certainly got me inspired. Would you buy an RC body that looked like one of the RWB Porsches?
