Mike Eichhorn’s original Traxxas E-Maxx is cool enough to make Reader’s Rides all on its own, but when he told us about the power-tilt trailer he designed to go with it he was a lock. The E-Maxx is fairly stock except for the Pro-Line GMC Topkick body, but Mike also built custom extended bumpers, a trick magnetic hitch assembly, and a custom Warn winch with a wireless remote rigged to operate the tow boom. He also tossed in a 2.4GHz radio and waterproof 16.8V EVX2 controller. The trailer is completely hand-built; the hinged platform can be lowered using an old receiver, battery and servo to provide remote tilt function, allowing the Kyosho Blizzard to drive on completely hands-free.
