Track Begins to Deteriorate at the IFMAR 1/8 Nitro Off-Road Worlds

Qualifying is under way at the 2016 IFMAR 1/8 Nitro Off-Road Championships and buggies are going fast, but the track is starting to show some teeth with rough patches and even some relatively big holes. This was to be expected and according to IFMAR rules, no track maintenance can be done, only watering. Not surprising, things will be more and more difficult as the week progresses and drivers will have to avoid the treacherous spots or navigate them with finesse and dexterity. However, many feel this is typical for “real off-road” conditions and drivers like TLR’s Ryan Maifield even commented that his buggy gets better when the conditions get rough.
