Team RCRD B4.1 Longer Aluminum Chassis Conversion

14 October, 2011

My local race track, SDRC Raceway in San Diego ( www.sdrcraceway.com ) has been picking up steam and has become a popular testing facility for RC manufacturers to test prototype parts. On a “Wednesday Night Worlds” club racing night, I spotted this sick chassis from Team RCRD for the Associated B4.1. I was limited to a small amount of information on this product, but I do know is that .125 inch thick black anodized aluminum with laser etched emblems, is available in three lengths (4mm, 8mm, 12mm longer than stock chassis), and is 3.5 ounces heavier than the stock chassis which puts all the weight at the lowest possible point for super low center of gravity. You won’t have to add a lot of lead weight like current stock chassis users are doing. All three length chassis are available separate, or together as a “tuning kit”.

This little item should make for a lethal addition to your arsenal of tuning options.  –  Joel Navarro
