Tamiya Clod Buster Gets Chromed Out [READER’S RIDE]

01 September, 2017

As a kid, Mike Lohmann always wanted the cool chrome parts for his RC vehicles but couldn’t afford them. A buddy of his has access to chroming equipment, so he had a few Clod Buster kits dipped for a retro chromed-out look. The chassis, gearboxes, shocks, and suspension pieces have all been chromed, and Mike also installed an aluminum bed-liner insert. He added a bunch of parts from APM Custom Hobbies: a roll bar with lights from RAM, a Warrior front bumper, and a box tube rear bumper with tow hitch. The rig rolls on TMS aluminum wheels and AJ’s foam tires. Want to see another one of Mike’s Clod builds? Here you go.
