Slash-based Dodge Ram gets Viper treatment [READER’S RIDE]

Daniel tells us he’s done several relatively stock Slash builds, including a wicked Yenko Nova drag Slash we showed not too long ago. For his latest he wanted to go with an aftermarket mid-motor 2WD chassis setup. He did some research and decided on a ChuckworksRC Slice SCT2 chassis because the vertical plates double as chassis braces to stiffen up the build, and the compartment-like sections make good places to stow the electronics. Daniel was going for 2S/3S power, so he chose a Castle MambaX 3800KV system. He built his own 35V 5000uf capacitor pack to keep the power to the ESC nice and smooth. He chose Pro-Line’s Ram 1500 body and adapted it into a Viper SRT10 truck. In the chassis its got a host of RPM parts — bulkhead, front and rear arms, gearbox, and nerf bars. A set of MIP X-Duty axles beefs up the driveline, and STRC supplied knuckles, carriers, and blocks, as well as an aluminum front tower.
