This new light kit from RAm updates their existing unit and adds a receiver plug so your lights can be powered from your receiver. It comes pre-wired and requires no soldering. I installed this light kit in my Axial SCX10 scale crawler and headed up to Burr Pond State Park for a nighttime GTG with some friends. Sure enough, the lights worked great and were very bright. They showed no dimming or problems whatsoever. While the new kit is updated to use a receiver plug to power the unit, it still has the 9V battery plug incase you want to power the lights from a 9V battery. After running for a little while I unplugged the receiver plug and used a 9V battery to illuminate my path for the rest of the night. Both methods provided constant bright lights and added to the looks and functionality of my crawler. A great buy.—Brandon
