Kyosho’s Cody King & Mystery Driver Testing MP9s

We dropped by Hot Rod Hobbies yesterday for the “Tuesday Night Nationals” and ran into current IFMAR World Champion Cody King testing his Kyosho Inferno MP9 WC (that “WC” stands for world-champion, btw) with his pit-man and dad Paul King.  With the JBRL Nitro Series Finals coming up in only a few weeks, Cody was out testing tires and chassis settings for the high-bite track conditions.

Coincidentally and unrelated to Cody’s presence at Hot Rods, also we caught another pro driver by surprise testing a Kyosho MP9 WC as well…only he doesn’t (yet?) race for Kyosho.  There’s no denying the MP9 buggy is a good one, it is the WC right now after all…and the MP9 seems to be the current go-to car for pro drivers who are looking to find that extra edge their current platform may not provide.  A sign of things to come?  We’ll see….
