As a high-tech hobby, radio control has always been driven by innovation and advancements in the cars and gear that we enjoy so much. What we do with RC hasn’t changed a lot since the first RC cars hit pavement, but the products we use sure have, and RC gets faster, friendlier, and more fun with each new refinement and breakthrough. There’s a very long list of products we could mention that have impacted the way we play with RC, but on the pages ahead we’ve whittled down the list to an essential few that have most greatly affected the hobby/sport in the post-mechanical-speed- control “modern era” of RC. We’re sure you could add many more to this list, but these are our picks (in no particular order).
