Billy Kara’s Tamiya Hornet Boat Thing

23 September, 2014

Billy Kara’s Reader’s Ride is an aquatic take on the classic Tamiya Hornet and comes to us by way of Melbourne, Australia. Steering vanes made of sheet plastic replace the front wheels to steer the craft, while zip-ties slap the water to propel it. Despite the 3300KV motor he installed, Billy tells us his highly unusual Hornet is “not incredibly fast” on the water.  No worries Billy, we love the creativity. No rules!
