Alberto Garcia Wins The 2nd Round Of The Madrid Championship At Tarancon

Last weekend, the second round of Madrid Championship was held at Tarancon track.

The track was rebuilt for the race, looking to be the last round for Spanish National “B” championship at the end of June. After some intensive practice seasons, 72 drivers took part in the event, looking for getting the best goal. Serpent driver Alberto Garcia was TQ, being the only in making 9 laps after qualifications rounds, and setting a new fastest lap of the track.

The main final started with a not easy surface, changing some areas with a high grip with others very dusty. After some mistakes from Garcia in the first minutes, Daniel Pariente (Mugen/OS) took the leadership, followed by Roberto Rodero (Mugen/Nova). With 30 minutes to go, Alberto Garcia was able to bump up from the 5th position until the first place and never looked back until the winning, while Daniel Pariente had some engines problems, loosing a podium place. After García, Roberto Rodero was second and the youngster Ignacio Gutierrez, with an amazing driving style, got the third place at the end.
