Ryan Lutz and Tekno RC Part Ways

Tekno RC announced today that Ryan Lutz is leaving the team, although not without well wishes. Tekno RC posted a nice goodbye to Ryan on their blog, a copy of which is below.

Still unclear however, is the question of what Ryan Lutz plans to do with his professional career now that he's a free agent.

Will he join another race team, such as Losi, Hudy or Team Associated? Or has he retired from R/C pro racing altogether?

Looks like R/C hobby fans will just have to watch and see to find out.

One thing is clear - Ryan Lutz will leave Tekno RC having dominated the industry and the folks at Tekno sure don't seem mad about that.

See their note below thanking Ryan for a fun ride while it lasted...

In late 2014, Ryan Lutz joined Tekno RC.  With his help, we have grown from a niche brand into a leading manufacturer in the RC industry. His presence brought the brand into the spotlight, and his many wins have helped Tekno RC rise toward the top of the leaderboard.  We've achieved some stellar results and reached a lot of customers along the way.  He's been an exceptional representative for our company during his time with us, and also one of the most highly respected ambassadors of the sport in general.

Some of the highlights we've seen during our time together include a 2nd place finish in Nitro Buggy and 3rd in Nitro Truggy at the 2017 ROAR Fuel Nats, another 2nd place in Nitro Truggy at the 2018 ROAR Fuel Nats along with well over 100 wins at large events around the world.

He isn't just known for his driving ability and professionalism on the track and in the pits.  His continued charity work and willingness to help others, in RC or everyday life, is something we all should strive for.  He is indeed one of the good guys - talented, reliable, honest, and hardworking.

It's been a very successful relationship for all involved, however, for 2019 we will be going our separate ways. While our professional relationship is wrapping up, our friendship and understanding will last a lifetime.  We wish Ryan all the best, but more than anything, we want to say, Thank you!!
