Thanksgiving Throwdown Round 2

Losi’s Frank Root attended Round 2 of the Thanksgiving Throwdown Series this past Saturday at West Coast R/C Raceway. The track had fantastic traction, with a fast, flowing, and fun layout. The entry count was very strong with 19 heats and a great day of racing was had by all. As always, JConcepts Short Course Tires were the choice tires for Frank.

Frank’s Losi XXX-SCT equipped with the TLR Tuned Kit was untouchable all day. Frank chose to run Bar Codes in Gold compound all around for great balance and traction. Frank took a strong TQ by over 5 seconds; his 2nd TQ in 2 rounds this year. The single 5-minute main would be run well after 1AM. Frank started on form at the sound of the tone and quickly pulled out from the field, leaving the battle for 2nd place. With optimum traction, Frank would then pull away taking the win by almost half a lap! This was also Frank’s 2nd win in 2 races, a great start to the Thanksgiving Throwdown Series for the XXX-SCT and JConcepts SC Tires!
