Let’s start this week’s report at my home track, the RC Compound in Des Moines, IA. This past weekend was the completion of their 2019-20 Winter Point Series that was originally scheduled to be completed in March. Let’s check in with the team to see how they performed.

In the 13.5 4wd Buggy class it was a podium sweep for the JC team! In the 17.5 Expert 2wd Buggy class, the JC team busted out the broom once again! Brad would claim his second title of the series with a win in this class too! He once again ran the same winning combo of a F2 body, a Aero S-Type 7″ Rear Wing, Aero Lower Front Wing, and Gold compound Ellipses in the rear with Dirt Webs in the front. Joining him on the podium was teammate Cole Henriksen in 2nd and Nate in 3rd. Nate once again used Silver compound Ellipses on all four corners.

Rounding out the podium in 3rd was TLR/JConcepts driver Kaden Fuller who used the same tire program as his older brother Mason.

The broom was used one more time for the Mod 4wd Buggy class too! This time Tom would sit on top in 1st place with Mason in 2nd and joining them on the podium in 3rd was teammate Chad Karstens! Both Tom and Mason used the same tire setup as Mod 2wd and Chad reported that he used Silver compound Ellipses in both the front and rear along with a F2 body for his Associated ride.

Braxten’s younger brother Jentsen also ran the same tire setup as he finished 1st overall in the 21.5 2wd Buggy class!

JC driver Matthew Pyle was also in attendance and competed in both the Mod 2wd and 4wd Buggy classes. He didn’t make any podiums but still had a solid weekend finishing in 5th place in both classes while using the same tire combination. Awesome results guys!

Heading even further south let’s turn our attention to Round 4 of the G-Force Series at held at Augusta RC Supercross in Georgia. We had several team drivers competing so let’s catch up with a few of them to see how they performed. In the Pro 1/8 Electric Buggy class, team driver Patrick Rossiter Jr. was able to come out on top after competing in the 8 minute long AA format! For the final A Main he settled on Blue compound Teazers to help secure the deal. In the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class he qualified 2nd overall for the 25 minute main event. He used the Red2 compound Reflexes for the single main but a flame out on a pit spot dropped him back several positions so he would have to settle for 4th overall.

Also competing at this event was team driver Cade Burnette who competed in both the 1/8 Nitro Buggy and Truggy classes. He would TQ the Truggy class but made a few mistakes to settle for 2nd overall. Taking the win in this class was teammate Timothy Hobbs! Cade used JConcepts Reflexes while Timothy reported that he opted for the JConcepts Ellipses in the Aqua compound.

In the the 1/8 Nitro Buggy class Cade qualified 5th for the main but had to settle for a DNF after some electric gremlins knocked him out of contention. He was happy to report that his JConcepts Stalkers were working well and he got a chance to race and hang out with Team Associated/JConcepts driver Spencer Rivkin the night before at a club race the at Loganville RC Complex. Nice results team!

Staying in Goergia let’s head over to Philema to check out the race action at Chehaw RC Raceway. We had numerous drivers competing at Round 7 of the SHRL (Snap Hard Racing League) Beast of the Southeast Series.
