Race Team Update – December, Wk 1

After a long and grueling SFORCS Fall Series, our team driver out of South Florida, Alex Mac, was able to take his RC8B3.1 Ebuggy to top step of the podium as the overall series Ebuggy champion! Throughout the series, Alex primarily used Stalkers mounted on Bullet wheels while rocking the S15 body and Hybrid wing for superb downforce. Alex also wrapped up the overall series win in the Pro 4 SCT class giving him 2 class titles for the year! Awesome job Alex!!

Another JConcepts team driver having awesome success at the SFORCS Series was Robert Romano. Robert was able to win the overall series in the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class showing impressive performance throughout the entire series and set every TQ and finished 1st in every race giving him a flawless performance. The tire that gave Robert the race the winning grip was the aqua Blockers and he stated that they were “MONEY!”

Despite a heavy college workload, JConcepts’ Tyler Jones found success winning the 2wd Modified class at Bill’s RC & Hobbies. The speed and talent that Tyler possesses are without a doubt, among the best in the nation. What’s more radical is that Tyler is dialed in both 1/10th and 1/8th disciplines. Nice job T.Jones now hit those books!

Congrats to Lachlan Donnelly of Sydney, Australia, as Lachlan cleaned up with a double win effort in 2wd and 4wd Modified at the Xray Series, also known as the XRS. Using a combination of blue and R2 compounds of the Sprinters tires on both rides, Lachlan had the pace to not only be competitive but had the pace to win and delivered in a big way. Check out the snapshot above and remember that face because we have a feeling we’re going to see a more of Lachlan in the future. Well done mate!

It was a terrific weekend for the JConcepts crew last weekend at The Toy Box. With Thor Ott and Kyle Holmberg in attendance, we knew the results would be good! Both drivers made the podium with Kyle winning both the 2wd and 4wd Modified classes and Thor Ott finishing 3rd in 2wd! Nice job team!

There it is! Another win for Dillon Caldwell as he set the TQ and took the win at Mike’s Hobby Shop. Dillon has been racking up the wins by constantly improving his game. With dedication, practice, club races, and big race attendance, Dillon is learning and gaining confidence at an incredible rate. Oh, and the tires he’s been diggin’ at Mike’s are the blue compound Reflex tires!

With new turf just installed at GS Hobbies, the learning curve was going to take some time. However, using Swaggers and Nessi tires on his 2wd and Swagger and Twin Pins on his 4wd, Braxten took that curve and tossed it out the window and finished 1st in both mod classes at GS Hobbies’ Turkey Trot Race last weekend! Braxten is climbing the ladder and gaining valuable experience each time he races and things are really starting to come together. Congrats on the win Braxten, you deserve it!

Attending the Turkey Shootout at RJD Hobbies, Brad Dean let his driving do the talking last weekend as he TQ and won 4wd Modified and closed out a killer weekend by wrapping up the TQ and win in 17.5 2wd class as well. With some seriously fast Midwest drivers on hand, Brad took the silver Ellipse tires and ran away from the competition. Nooice!!
