Product Spotlight: Street Eliminator Bodies

One of the hottest segments of RC right now is Drag Racing. In 2017 JConcepts released their first product for this genre of RC, the 1966 Chevy II Nova clear body, & flash forwarding to 2020 we now offer tires, wheels, carbon fiber accessories & numerous body options. In this week’s Product Spotlight we’ll focus in on three recently released Chevrolet officially license bodies for the Street Eliminator Class.

1966 Chevy II Nova (V2) Clear Body

The first body we will look at is the recently updated Nova body. The original Nova body used a 3 piece design & required assembly. This updated version now is a 1 piece design which means drivers will be able to put down speed runs even faster now. The front end features a single headlight design with deep recessed sections along the front grill & bumper. This helps to keep the body’s scale realism intact.

The rear of the body also includes a detailed bumper & trunk with vertical taillights. A 2 part spoiler can be applied to the rear end of this body as well. Each package also comes with window masks so you can add your custom paint scheme & finish it off with the included decal sheet. This body also has a 12.75″ wheelbase & is 10.75″ wide in the front & 11.00″ wide in the rear which means it will fit most 2wd SCT (Short Course Truck) builds that are popular in the Street Eliminator class.

#0398 – $60.00 MSRP

1967 Chevy Camaro Street Eliminator Clear Body

For all you muscle car fans that have a need for speed, JConcepts has released the 1967 Chevrolet Camaro clear body for the Street Eliminator racing scene. This body is slightly larger than the Nova body since it is designed with a 13″ wheelbase. The front wheelbase also measures at 10.50″ & the rear uses a 11.50″ wheelbase. This body is a drop fit for the new Team Associated DR10 vehicle & will also fit the majority of 2wd SCT builds that are popular for the Street Eliminator class.

This is an officially licensed body that provides different grill options thanks to the included decal sheet, a two-piece rear wing & the rear end design will allow for many wheelie bars & aftermarket speed option parts.

#0400 – $60.00 MSRP

1955 Chevy Bel Air Drag Eliminator Clear Body

The final body we will look at is this 1955 Chevy Bel Air clear body. Like the other previous bodies, this is an officially licensed body by Chevrolet. Its dimensions are also slightly different than the 2 previous bodies. It uses the same 13″ wheelbase as the 1967 Chevy Camaro body, but its front wheel base is 11.25″ wide while in the rear it is 12.00″.

It uses a variety of scale looking features like a laid-back front grille, built-in trim along the main panels that can be painted to look like chrome & a front hood-scoop. It will fit an assortment of 2wd SCT based drag builds & also includes a two piece rear wing & decal sheet.
