This past weekend I attended the CRCRC April Fools race. They had over 130 entries, practice was from 8 A.M. to 10:45 A.M with racing starting at 11:00. I ran in the Modified buggy class. The qualifying would be run in rocket round style with a single A Main.
In round 1 of qualifying I was half a second off of the leader. In round two I had a rough round. In the third and final round I battled with the leader the entire race but I got caught up in traffic and missed TQ by 1.9 seconds.
In the main I qualified 2nd on the grid, we had a clean start but I made a mistake on lap 2 and I dropped back to 5th place. I made my way back up 2nd at the end only 3 second behind 1st place.
