IFMAR 8th Scale Nitro Offroad World Championships – Free practice update

After months of practice and preparation…. the time has finally come. This is the biggest race that happens every 2 years and THE race that everyone in the nitro world wants to win. This is what dreams are made of.

Finally, the drivers are let loose on this awesome track and we couldn’t be more excited. With 1 run held on Saturday at 2pm and 2 practice rounds on Sunday, the ‘dialing in’ period is just one of the many crucial steps towards winning a title.

The JConcepts team is here and together, we’re working hard to find the best tire for each track condition. From morning runs that hold the water longer on the surface to the mid 80’s later summer Vegas sun dried track conditions, the search is showing great promise. So far, team drivers like Cole Ogden, Ryan Maifield, Reno Savoya, Spencer Rivkin, are liking Triple Dees and Reflexes in blue, green, and R2 compounds.

With the sun and heat being a big factor on compound choices and the weather predicted to be cooler later in the week, everyone is trying everything so they can get a feel of what to expect and have the knowledge in their back pocket to get on the right tire at the right time.
