Bar Codes win at Golden State Challenge

Race Reporter:Aaron Biner

Over the weekend, the Golden State Electric Challenge took place in Lakeport California. I was victorious in 2 of the 3 mains in Truck Modified. A qualified 2nd. The main competitors in this class were Team Losi’s Phillip Atondo and J Concepts Driver Zach Rogers. I used Blue Bar Codes and Rulux in the front and rear of my RC10T4 to win A2 and A3 for the overall title. A video will be posted on http://www.lakeporthobbies.com soon. So far only A1 is up….I got 2nd in this main. A trophy shot is here:

Next up, I won the 4wd mod class with my Kyosho Lazer FS. I used Blue Bar Codes in the front and rear to qualify 3rd behind AE’s Cody Turner and Kyosho’s Tyler Vik. The main competition in this class was team Kyosho’s Tyler Vik, AE’s Chris Jarosz, AE’s Cody Turner, AE’s Kevin Jelich, and more. The A-1 race was a battle. The lead was swapped at least 6 times before I finally settled in and ran away with the final minute or so. In A2, Tyler Vik won. We battled for a minute or so before I made a mistake. I finished 2nd in A-2. In A-3, Cody Turner and Vik got out to the lead with me right behind them. Both cars collided going up the hill. I made a pass and pretty much led the other 6 mins plus.
