2014 outback shootout layout

JConcepts Wins at Outback Shootout

A Main Hobbies would host their 4th annual Outback Shootout at their indoor track, Outback Raceway in Chico, CA over the weekend of February 28 to March 2. JConcepts drivers Eric Albano, Brian Strange, Nathan Bernal, and Ryan Matesa would be in attendance.

Qualifying would consist of 4 rounds of heads up qualifying taking your best 2 runs. 4wd Open Buggy would see Albano taking the TQ with Strange starting 2nd and Bernal 3rd. Matesa would take the TQ in Open Stadium Truck. In 2wd Open Buggy, going into the 4th round, Matesa, Strange, and Albano would all three have one win. Albano would claim the win and overall TQ with Strange 2nd, Matesa 3rd, and Bernal 4th.

The mains would provide some great racing being single, 8 minute A mains. In the Stadium truck main, Matesa would take the win, tone to tone. The 4wd Buggy main would see Albano lead the way until a mechanical error ended his run. That left Strange and Bernal to battle for the win. Bernal would take the win with Strange finishing 2nd. In the 2wd Buggy main, Albano and Strange would exchange the lead for the first few laps until a lapper would send Strange to 5th. This allowed Albano to build a lead, as the rest of the pack continued to exchange positions. The final Results would see Albano taking the win with Matesa finishing 3rd, Strange 4th, and Bernal 5th.

A Main Hobbies hosted a great event with a total of 281 entries. The JConcepts Team ran Bar Codes and the new Dirt Webs in Gold compound.
