2011 Georgia Championship Series Finals

The 2011 Georgia Championship Series Finals were held this past weekend at Loganville RC Speedway in Loganville, GA. With 140 entries, it was bound to be a good series closer.

JConcepts Driver Shay Brand had some decent qualifiers. Testing the soon to be released JConcepts Hybrids in Green Compound on his Truggy, Shay qualified 2nd behind JConcepts Teammate Barry Pettit, in the Pro Truggy Class. Shay TQed 1/10th Buggy running Bar Code V2’s in Green Compound.

With an hour main in pro truggy, Shay mounted up a set of JConcepts Subcultures in Green and got ready to go. Shay finished 2nd behind Barry with JConcepts Driver, Tim Smith behind Shay in 3rd, so JConcepts swept the truggy race with a 1, 2, 3 finish.

In 1/10th buggy, Shay won all three of the 10 minute triple a-mains, bringing home first place.

For the entire series Shay Brand placed 1st overall in the 1/10th Buggy class and 3rd overall in the Pro Truggy class.

It was a great series and a great showing for all of the JConcepts drivers and products.
